websites like theoutnet are good for discounted designer stuff.  and if you live in a big city there are always sample sales.

but ebay is best.  i’ve found things like 90% discounted.  you just need to have patience, to know your sizes in the brands you’re looking at, and to have a clear sense of what you want - don’t buy the label, buy the thing you actually love.
